
Jeannie Woelker
Jeannie Woelker attended Boston Conservatory of Music studying under Jonathan Miller of The Boston Symphony; **Maureen Hynes of the Pierrot Consort at C W Post, where she also performed on the viola da gamba with the Merriweather Consort; and master classes with Collin Carr at SBU and Claude Kenneson at the Kato Havas School in Dorset, England.** She received her BA in music from StonyBrook University, graduating **Summa** cum laude and was the recipient of the Arthur S. Lamber Award. Ms. Woelker performs with The Cottage Quartet, The Cottage Trio, Basically Baroque, The Bay Chambers Players, The HeartSong Trio, **The Hidden City Orchestra** and has performed for The Long Island Composers Alliance. As a Certified Suzuki Cello teacher **and member of the SAA (Suzuki Association of the Americas)**, Ms. Woelker teaches both Suzuki and traditional methods. **Ms. Woelker is a member of ASCAP and has performed some of her pieces with her ensembles. She has performed with the Hidden City Orchestra in Assisi and Perugia, Italy.** In addition to teaching at East End Arts, she teaches privately and at The North Shore Suzuki School in Port Jefferson.
