Adrian Ippolito is one of the most versatile percussionists you will ever meet. He cares. He carries his strange kit in a big cardboard box that serves double duty as a kick drum. He says this is because “cardboard box” is the sound most studio engineers end up reverting to anyway. Many of his implements are very sharp, and he has a way with brushes that is not to be missed. George Cork Maul says we found him on CraigsList, but Adrian has secretly been a resident of the hidden city for several generations….. We have been trying for some time to invent a rhythm that he can’t play. We haven’t been able to shake him yet.
